Default where are all the auto tech?

my car is having break problems. i just replaced the master cylider and now the pressure is alot better. but i think its to tight. it feels like the breaks are still on when i release them. another thing is that they got really hot, to the point where i felt heat on the rims. is that normal? after a break change? i bleed the system and all that.

i described it to the best of my knowledge. but if you guys have question please ask.
thanks for your help.

they shouldn't feel like the brakes are still on when you release them, did you lube the caliper slides (pins) when you fixed them.

as for the heat.... thats how brakes work, they turn kinetic energy into heat
if they are smelling funny, then you might have the problem described above

You may have a caliper(s) that is sticking and causing the brakes to stay on after you apply the brakes. This would explain why the it feels like the brakes are still on after you hit the pedal and also why you are getting so much heat into them (like you said the wheel gets hot).

lift the car up and turn the wheels by hand, if theres too much drag on either wheel to where it wont spin... then you have a problem...

make sure your lines arent twisted, and make sure your pins are well lubed...

Also check the brake pedal adjuster it might be to long and pressing on the M/C all the time.
You did leave the gasket on the M/C between the M/C and the booster.

And are your brakelights on?

the brakes only stick when im going fast 45+ so usually on the freeway. someone said it might be the brake booster. i dont think its the pads or calipers. unless getting brake fliud on them makes a difference. and making them stick?
