Default when to change a o2 senor

hey...
I like to know, what are the side effects that show that you have a bad o2 sensor???
or any sensor?
also a knock sensor too.

please post up what you know, that may be valuable info to everyone.
I've did a search...have'nt found my answers...maybe this would work
thanks so much

well first of all it depends on what year you are talking about. on the non obds you can tell because the car runs really rich. the knock sensor can sometimes be bad and not throw a code on non obd motors. the best way to test the knock sensor is with a graphing multi meter. hook it up and see if it is sending a constant voltage which it shouldn't be. the knock sensor only throws a code if there is an open in the circuit.
