Default wheel hub removal and installation

i just pulled my front right hub yesterday (sunday) to replace a wheel stud (which was stripped by a bad lug nut). i pulled it with a puller, you know one of them sliding hammer tool. now that i have it out, how do i get it back in? is there anything specific (specific direction..e.tc) that i should be aware of? or should i just hammer the hub back in just like how i pulled it out?

cliff notes: is there a specific way to put back the wheel hub or just hammer it back on like how you took it off?

thanks in advance guys

hammering it in can damage the bearing. If you have a press, press it in slowly. If not you can try and use a big vice. You may also be able to use one of those clamp that tighten down if it is big enough. Good luck.

okay just did it, don't need a press...just hammer it in until you can get a little thread on the axle and use the axle to press it in. i love honda engineering.
