You don't need to take your hub off if you can grind a small flat on the shoulder of the new wheel stud to slip it in (after hammering the old one(s) out). Push the new one in, and use a lug nut to draw it through.
Done.

We did this to replace a wheel stud in my friends car (emergency).

If your studs aren't biting anymore, just go to autozone and buy four new ones. Grind the side of the head of the studs to where it has a flat side and pound them in from the backside placing the flat edge of the stud against the steering knuckle so it can slide in from the back. That way you don't have to take the hub out, but you do have to remove the brake caliper. This works providing you can pound the old studs out the back of the hub w/out having clearance probs w/ the steering knuckle. If your wheel stud splines are stripped and they spin, they should pop right out. New studs are only like $.99 a pop. It worked for my eg a few days ago because i fucked em up putting the wheel on crooked.

I don't really want to have to grind them down any! I added a little heat and the hub came right off.

Thanks for all of your help though, that way still seems easier i willl remember that.

Careful with heat around that area. I've heard of too much heat ending up damaging the wheel bearing. Good luck
