Default wheel alignment issues

ok, so from what i understand about alignment if you want to get the highest level of performance out of the vehicle for generally sporty/aggressive driving/autox/etc-
the more negative camber the better, same for positive caster.

but what i'm still unsure of is:
are these guidelines the same for rear settings also or primarily front?
Front/rear toe in or out?

Anyone know about this stuff?
thx for any advice
