WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY CAR?!?!
Ok, check it out. I just had my nitrous shot raised to a 75 shot, from a 50 shot. Ok, but when i got it back from the local performance shop, my bottle was getting empty, so the pressure WAS only around 800 psi. when i sprayed it the first couple times. Well, when i did, It hit hard at first, but would start kinda lagging and missing on up into 3rd and 4th gear, with also a loud kinda "popping" noise from the exhaust. Now, is this the dreeded "detonation" that i should be fearing. And if so, why didn't it blow my motor up the first 3 or 4 times it did it? Like i said, i did more than just once.
Also, the guys at the shop said they retarded my timing 6 degrees. Isn't that a little TOO much? I was told just around 2 degrees. So, WHAT EXACTLY will over retarding my timing do to my engine? (Besides making it slow as hell when NOT spraying it?) They said that OEM honda specs was 12 degrees, and that they retarded it back to 6 degrees. So what's up?

Pull your plugs and read them. Also make sure your running a 2 step colder plug. The noise could be alot of things, running too rich, running too lean, it's hard to tell without looking at your car.
I'm not a nitrous guy... but popping from the exhaust could be backfiring.... which could actually be sorta rich... your timing COULD be too retarded.
check plugs.
check plugs.
