Default What's their purpose??

Hey guys, I'm planning on purchasing some R-1 Racing guages to keep me informed of every aspect of my engine but I don't know what the hell some of them are for.. all I really understand is the boost one.. I need to know what purpose do the following gauges serve..

-water temp.
-exhaust temp.
-oil pressure
-air/fuel ratio
-temp.
-amp meter
-volt meter

If possible, can someone please tell me why I need to know the following things and how they will help my engine/performance.. Also, besides boost, which ones are the most important.. thanks a lot guys..

water temp.... tells you the temprature of your engine coolant

exhaust temp.... tells you the temp of your exhaust reading will be based upon where in the exhaust stream you place it

oil pressure... tells you the pressure in lbs that your oil pump is pushing oil around the engine at

a/f mixture... tells you what the ratio of air to gas is the perfect match is 14.7 to 1(or thereabouts)

amp meter... tells you how many amps your alt is putting out or what your car is drawing in terms of electrical load

volt meter.... tells you what voltage you alt is putting out 14.7 is a good voltage

all of these are important

A/F mixture for tunning
Oil pressure will let you know of impending oil pump failure
Volts will tell you if your alt is gonna die soon or if your battery is toast
amps... not really important as vilt meter does basically the same thing
temp will tell you if your car is about to overheat or if it is an oil temp guage tell you if you r car is getting cooked due to high oil temp

Why is it important for me to know my engine coolant (water temp)?
