Whats that sensor on the back of a JDM B16a1?? Please Help!!!
Does anyone know what that sensor is that is on the back of a JDM B16a1 Block (OBD-0). It is the double wire sensor that has two independent plugs for it on the same sensor and has the black rubber cover over it??
I am planning on swapping out my b16a1 bottom end for a b18c1 and I know that this sensor only comes on the pre-obd engines, I am just wondering if I am going to be shooting a CEL on my PR3?? What can be done about that??
Thanks guys,

why would i not be serious?
that sensor will be the least of your worries... what are you using ATM for your radiatior fan switch?

no the Mugen or Spoon one won't fit directly... you'll need to make an adapter, for 45$

Its not the fan switch. Its the oil pressure dummy light. Reads oil pressure and sends a signal to the oil like when pressure is below 10 psi at idle.

bullsh*t
the oil pressure sensor does NOT have two independent plugs for it on the same sensor and has the black rubber cover over it
or is this a Honda from Mars?
get it together guys!
and Kamin, you should be ashamed...

I wouldn't have stated it that aggressively... but I agree. That's the fan thermo switch. The oil pressure 'idiot light' has a one-wire sender. How do I know? I relocated my idiot light sensor when I installed an oil pressure gauge. I've also had to replace my fan thermo switch before, so I KNOW that that is what tink says it is.

Thanks, I had the same question, but...
Now that I have made an LS/VTEC out of my B16a1 obd 0 and a 94 LS block, how do I eliminate this and activate the fan? Seperate switch, different wire from the car (91 Teg RS) or what?
Thanks Hank
