What's involved in swapping out a crank?

What's involved in swapping out a crank?
I don't need detailed instructions, basically I want to know what I should replace while I'm down there and what other stuff I may run into.

Crank and rods...
edit: basically stroking a CTR motor to ITR spec. ITR crank and rods...

if he is doing rods wouldnt it be a good idea to replace the rings too? because ive never seen anyone replace rods without removing pistons

if it were me and I had the $$ I would replace the berings, rings, and any gaskets. Basically a bottom end kit. Why? just for reassurance....

front and rear main oil seals.
oil pan gasket
you might as well do you water pump and timing belt too
valve cover gasket
you can also do your axle seals on the tranny too if you take it out..
