What's this fitting???
This hose fitting is on the throttle body of my B18C, directly below the assembly that the throttle cable attaches to. It's just kindof hanging out down there, not connected to anything, and while I'm no professional, I think it probably should have a hose on it.... I put my finger on it while the car is running, and it's not a vacuum and it there's nothing coming out, so I'm confused... It's gotta be there for a reason!
Fast Idle Thermal Valve... Coolant lines run through it. You should hook it back up since you're up north in the cold. When the coolant is cold it allows more air to flow into intake (higher idle)... warm the valve shuts and cuts off the excess air (lower idle)
There are hoses that come off of the intake manifold/thermostat/block that lead to various things like your heater core and such. Stock the FITV shares a heater line with the IACV/EACV (located on rear of intake manifold; cuts on with A/C to raise rpms)
