whats the difference?
Whats the difference in getting high compression pistons or just milling the head?
(As far as being a street driven car)
Is high compression good for emissions?

Well there isn't much difference in the performance between milling the head or installing from my point of view because they both do the same thing, but if you want to raise the compression by a large amount then you need to use pistons to rasie your CR.
also would say only mill the head if you are dead broke and are in a rush to get higher compression then its by far the cheapest way off getting higher compression but once you do it you shorten the life span of your head.
only mill your head is its warped.
when you mill the head, you lower the headcloser to the piston, which in turn lowers the cam gears, which in turn throws the cam timing off a little. you will need to adjust this with adjustable camgears.
If you don't already have it then maybe you should get a thinner headgasket. it would essentially do the same thing, but it would not be someting your stuck with "down the road".
