Default What's the diff... b18b1? b18a1?

I need to know the difference? between the b18a1, and the b18b1... I am running the b18b1 right now "ls/vtec" but what's the diff. with the a1? will it work in a 96 civic hatch?

a1 is 90-91 teg, they have smaller cams which doesnt matter with lsvtec. It will work just fine, externally the same as b18b.

sup gumball ill vouch that boostn420 is right about the block. the only difference is that the coolant temp switch is located on the back of the a1. the temp switch on the b1 is located on the thermostat housing. just make sure you use the b1's thermostat housing/tempswitch/and tube that routes to the water pump.

The B18A has smaller intake ports as well.

Aren't b18a's obd0 while b18b's are obd1-2?

90-91 B18a's are OBD0, 92-93 B18a's are OBD1, B18b's are OBD1 and 2
