whats the best ecu
as of right now my 95 civic is kinda stock but i want to upgrade the ecu to help out with some poew and all what can i do it is a 95 dx on mods so far are exhuast and headre , cold air intake , short shifter
the answer is............ the one thats tuned for your motor....
it would prob be best for you to stick with your stock ecu for now and maybe use a fpr to richen it up a little bit unless you wanna get it tuned (which seems senseless to me with a dx)

keep the stock ecu, you do not have enough mods to require tuning.
I have a b16a with some basic bolt ons. Intake, Header, Exhaust, Intake manifold. And I was running my stock ecu in my 93 si, which is a p28. It works best for me. I dont have heavy engine mods so I dont feel the need for an ecu upgrade. When you start doing some serious engine work or maybe a swap then you should consider a better ecu. Until then I think your fine.

I agree with the above, stick with your stock P06 ECU. Don't get "sold" on those "power making" chips you see all over the place, especially ebay.
With modifications the only REAL way to make power is via a dyno. And with the mods/engine you have right now that would be a waste of your time and money.

p28 is the stock ecu for a 93 si but it is not the correct ecu for your b16 engine. you need a p30 or a chipped ecu reprogrammed with b16 maps for the car to run at its best. the b16 is dohc and better flowing. it also has a different compression ratio, its basically a whole different motor than the d16z6.

I just wanted to make a clear statement that he should remain with his stock ecu and not expect to get his motor running correctly or more powerful by swapping it for another ecu.
