Default What would cause code 16 all of the sudden?

I was driving my car, and slowly it started too run like crap. Its throwing a code 14 and 16, the IACV code and Injector code. I have replaced the IACV with 3 used units with no luck, which leaves me with the price of a new one.

But the injectors? can they go bad.

lol, that rywire conversion harness is connected into more, older wiring that they have no control over. use a multimeter to check for continuity in your iacv wiring going to the ecu.

A clogged injector wont cause a code 16. It's an electrical fault. You can check the wiring to them, the resistance of the injectors, the resisters if it has em. If all that tests good you could have a bad main relay.

What if there is a leak from the fuel rail near the injector?

Also, where do I get the specs. on the ohms for stock obd1 b-series injectors?

10-13 ohms if I remember right.

I found a wire on my obd0 to 1 harness that was slit for some reason. I found a pinout guide turned out too be injector # 4.

One more question. When the car idles up and down from 1 to 1400 rpms that is the iacv or the fitv.

Surging idle can be a dozen things, do a search for "fuel cut strategy" dont pick a forum, just look at them all. Dont pick a subject, pick words in the post.

95% of my code 16 fixes was a bad engine main relay, it controls power to the injectors, the other fix was a computer.

Most of the time a bad relay is a no start due to no fuel pump, less often the other half of the relay goes bad and gives a code 16.
