What valvetrain are you using?
I am in a situation that I need valvetrain for my swap. I was wondering mainly about SKUNK 2 complete valvesprings w/ retainers? In an application w/ Itr Cams and a Chipped ecu that revs to 8,800 max ? Has anyone proven skunk2 as a reliable spring /retainer setup????
Please post any experience you have had w/ the full skunk two setup or toda or Portflow.

I have had great luck with the skunk2 valve train products. Another company I really like is Ferrea. I would use JUN if $$ was no object though.
I apreciate you all who have taken the time to read and post a response.
After speaking with some valued opinions, reading your posts, and listening to a highly respectable businessman; I am starting to place greater faith in the quality and craftsmanship of the skunk products. Also I remembered that Roger Foo w/ eg hatch had skunk 2 parts for his world challange car as did his teamate Taz Harvy. Also Chris Rado 's drag integra.
So I should hopefully be fine if I were to choose skunk.

I was using Crower springs and retainers in one motor with ITR cams going to 9,000 rpm's regularly-no problem. Current setup is Skunk 2 springs and retainers with Skunk 2 Stage 2's going to 9,500 rpm's regularly-no worries.
get itr springs all the others are too stiff you will loose power. i have itr springs and love it, the itrs will hold 8800 all day. soon to be portflow and jun3's cams
but this will do until i get the rest of the funds

Using Crower 63402 cams, 68185 valve springs, and 87093D retainers(D is for the B16A motors, .060" Taller) I can take it to 8500 rpms, no problemo.
With ITR cams you really won't be pushing anyone's springs.
I am using all Portflow stuff with '01 ITR cams.
Fine for me.
BTW, Portflow dosent make outer v. springs, but they sell ITR ones for cheaper than Honda.
