Default what torque for main studs in B16A?

what torque should be for main studs in B16A engine?

Thanks!

Is 3 step process to 70ft lbs OK?

to be honest with you when you change to studs with that torque rating line honing will be in order those iron main caps do sit on aluminum after all...first off are you building an na or turbo engine??...if youre doing an na setup sell those studs the oem bolts are a grade 10 bolt with a psi rating of 155,000psi...+ or - around there...studs are usually reserved for high horse turbo setups...

haha...yes it is a 3 step process to 70 ft/lb(10, 30, 50, 70) i would usually add an extra step in there then the usual 3 tightens to minimize warpage after all those are 8740 chrome moly steel studs(tough ****) you will need a line hone possibly so beware you were warned... (p.s. you absolutely have to use the arp moly lube it has the correct loading range for that fastener motor oil you'll be forced to torque to 130 ft/lb. which can get ugly)

yeah and i never honed my mains with these studs and i havnt had a single bearing issue.

Me neither - I said that I know all that stuff about lubricating and torqueing - just forgot how much ft lbs.
