i put a new head gasket on a short block that has approx 8k miles, head is not warped or anything car runs fine. but on my smanager my temp runs between 198 and 202. what temp is my car suppose to run at normally?
my temp needle is allways in the normal position and never goes higher than a little under half on the gauge but I thought they ran at like 185?

what temp do head gaskets blow and heads warp?

 

198-202 is normal, ECTS will turn on the rad fan a about 198. 94

 

in my smanager my fans both kick on at 175 but I was worried running at 200 was a little high. what temp starts to hurt things?

 

Use a thermo gun to see exactly what the engine coolent temp. is when rad fan turns on, so you know for sure your "smanager" is correct, and read this... http://www.aa1car.com/library/overheat.htm 94
