Default what is right ?????

what is your guys opinion on what is more accurate or which one would you trust a mechanical phantom boost gauge. or while tuning on chrome the read out from that program ? they read about 3 to 4 lbs dif. gauge will show say 20psi and the program will show 17psi

Autometer is not known for accuracy. Air on the side of caution however....

Should be better, but again, Autometer is not known for accuracy.

Get a quality gauge like Defi, or Omori.

What is your elevation? I'm at 5000+ feet here in Colorado and a relative pressure gauge (ie boost gauge) will read 2-3 psi more than an absolute pressure gauge (ie MAP sensor). I would tune by the pressure that the ECU reads, since that's what it's doing fuel and ignition based on.

good point, and i'm in phoenix so not near as high
