i plan on buying a 96 or 97 civic, and after the obvious cold air intake, and exhaust, what would be the next performance step that i could/should take, and what products should i not use, for a long lasting high powered engine?

Engine Swap. drop in a B series engine and go from there. If that doesn't suit your taste then maybe an EX VTEC head could be the best bet.

 

arent engine swaps fairly expensive tho. what if i got a b series engine from a type r would that be a good idea. sorry if im bein a pest, but i wanna go about this the right way, first car and all.
