What Manual Steering Rack will Work in My integra DC2 please help!
I have a 95 GSR and want to put a manual steering rack in. I tried searching and couldnt find anything specific.. my friend told me to put a 92-95 steering rack in. I would just like to know someones oppinion that has done the swap. ANy info or links to more info would be great.. thanks you!
I wanted to put a cx manual rack from an EG into my 93 civic si. i know yours is dc2 but many things are alike.
I read here at H-T that the mounts on the cx manual rack are different than the mount on the power rack. This is where it bolts to the subframe on the passenger side i beleive. one side is the same. one side is different.
There was never a ton of people saying it was right, but nobody ever said it was wrong. I am going to still try and put a manual rack on the si regardless to learn for myself.
anyways i don't see why a POWER rack from a civic wouldn't fit? so why wouldn't the manual. anyway i have been reading about trying to do this myself. good luck

I would loop the pump lines, and put a catch can and breather on it. There's a thread on how to do this.
From what people say, adding the catch can and breather to your power rack make it feel like you still have power steering.

If you end up getting a manual rack. Take some pics, and what steps you took and post it up when your done putting it in. Maybe some measurments of where it mounts an so on wuold benefitial.
This has been a topic around H-T that has its' grey area's (at least to me)so maybe your experience could clear things up. Good luck

92-95 civic steering rack will not work on an integra sorry to bust ur bubble but you would need the 88-91 civic rack im in the middle of doing this rack swap to my integra and the 88-91 civic manual steering rack bolts right up and is perfect

im considering on switching to a manual rack. so would a 88-91 civic manual rack bolt up to my 94 ex??
You're wrong about this. I installed a 92-95 Civic manual rack into my 95 Integra. I did make sure to get the universal joint that connects the rack to the steering column from the Civic as well. I used 92-95 Civic D brackets and bushings as well.
