Default What manual is best?

I suspect I have done a clutch on the B16A Civic I got a few months ago.

Honda Australia won't sell me a factory service manual so I am left to decide between a Chiltons or a Haines manual.

Can anyone say which is better. I ask as I haven't viewed either firsthand and have to order one or the other in. Last Haines manual I bought said "refer to dealer" way too often but I haven't really seen a Chiltons so I can't say if they are better or worse.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Helm Inc maks the service manuals for the dealers. Its the best service manual you can buy. There a little high but worth it.

Thanks!

I'm looking at a listing on their webpage now but before I look at ordering I need to know this, did you guys get B16A equipped Civics in 96? I just need to check because I'd hate to order one from over there and then receive it to find it didn't cover my engine/chassis combo.

Thanks for all the good feedback.

I would like to buy the relevant Helms manual once I can work out whether I can get one manual that suits my car which is a 96-98 style EK Civic three door with the B16A motor...(late 95 build date though). I don't want to buy one manual for the chassis and another for the motor/trans. I suspect over here in Australia we got a different range of chassis and motor combos to you guys in the USA.

In the meantime I am downloading the B16A manual (thanks Phat-Optimo) and have downloaded the B18A tranny section off the link provided by TEGgirl. From what it says in the thread she has posted, the B18A block is the same as the B16A - I presume that if I am correct I can use that to get an idea of what is involved in replacing the clutch on my EK so I can decide whether I can do it myself or whether I should (grudgingly) farm the work out to someone else.

I am technically minded and have usually done all my own work on my car but I may be asking a few dumb questions here as I am still learning the model and chassis terms used for the different series of motors and chassis.
