Bingo. The bolts are much nearer the FD teeth than the newer diffs, too. That's another hint.

It's definitely from the cable JDM B16 transmission. I think that's YS1. I'm not the most familiar with the older designations. Not too sure if it will fit in others actually. Not without any work to the transmission casings, I would think.
Not sure if you pulled that diff out or just bought it like that, but if you can get access to the transmission case that was removed from (photos or actually see it in person), you'll see that the casing's oil channels/fins surrounding the differential has been grinded down a lot by Honda to make that LSD fit in there. The actual housing of that OEM LSD is just shaped much differently than the OEM open-differentials that come in those older transmissions.

i've got one of these i pulled out of my spare trans. just bought a quaife for it.
its for sale now too and comes witht he ring gear, if you guys know of anything.
