sorry for the crappy pic, iono how to edit things in paint to come out normal yet.... its a black box lookin dealy..... on the back side of the block.. sorry for the dumbass post btw

That is the box that collects the oil that your pcv sends back...
There is a hose that goes from the pcv valve and into the top of that box.

Stock crankcase breather tank. Usually, there is a through fitting in the open hole you see, with a hose attached that goes to the pcv valve mounted on the intake manifold.

thats not an oil cooler its part of the PCV system like was said above. and why do you think its a B17 block? theres no knock sensor or oil cooler.
It is an LS block and that little black box is the oil breather/separator can. Standard oem equipment.
