what headgasket to use?? higher cr..
ok, after extensive search, im left with the more popular choice, Spoon and Mugen. But a while back, i wanted to lower my cr because it was too high and a h-t member worked for carsmetic* and said they also made headgaskets(well he could make them) to fit my needs... WHat do u guys recommend. Is it a good idea to buy a stock headgasket and take the middle layer out? any problems from personal experience... anything would help. THANX

As beerman stated, if you take out a layer of the stock headgasket it is going to raise to compression due to the head being closer to the block. Which obviously if your trying to lower your compression you need a thicker one then what you have now.
my bad... i want to higher my cr. (too early in morning, posted right before class).. now i know i can take out a layer and hat highers my cr, but are there any consequences for this.

What kind of headgasket do you have now? If you are using a stock one then getting another stock one and removing the middle layer would raise your compression ratio. If you have some sort of aftermarket gasket, then getting a stock one will probably lower your CR, depending on what size you are running now.
