just bought a 90 teg with a b17 motor in it...the trans makes noise... here are the symptoms
from dead stop:
-hard time getting into gears (any gear)
-from dead stop, once i manage to shove it in gear, makes noise and when i engage
-doesnt make noise when im driving
im not keeping the car, nor do i plan to drive it... but im HOPING its a clutch problem...
[EDIT] i just found this out....
when im at a standstill, clutch in, and i try to put it into 2nd, doesnt go fully into gear, but the car starts moving, and when i put it into neutral, car stops...
im PRAYING its just a clutch thats just REALLY bad...

yeah I had a really hard time getting into gear right before I replaced my OEM clutch. It drove fine while in gear (drove it 150 miles from school to home then replaced it). When I pulled the clutch out I found some of the metal around the clutch disc springs had broken off.
