hmm...

New bearings, seals, pistons, and rods,etc., etc., and etc.

You replace everything that needs it and anything you want to change.

 

don't forget about the
water pump, oil pump
heads gets cleaned and seats get redone if needed
valves are ground..
it gets cleaned really nice and pretty
sometimes you end up with extra bolts and engine codes you never used to get

 

You will also want to take it to a machine shop to get it honed, and remeber to check clearances using good ol' plati-guage, so you can be sure that the motor you're rebuilding is going to last.
