Default What do you make of this collector design?

Header is a Cusco for the F22a motor. I've never seen a collector like this before. . .whats the advantage (if any)?

not sure. my girlfriend has a similar style on her 420a (mitsubishi/chrysler motor). its funny looking...like a pregnant header. maybe it would give u more high end...but its kinda like a bottle neck design...that wouldnt be good for exhaust.

anyone know ?

Do you have a picture of the inside of it? Generally speaking, if people put additional volume into the system it's right at the flange, not down in the collector with what looks like a balloon. Having said that though, header design can get very creative and sometimes defy conventional logic when it comes to power production.

it could maybe work if you look at it like an expansion on 2 stroke dirt bike if the gases expand then when they go into the tighter space they will be suked out by a venturi effect
