Default Should i take any steps to prepare car to sit for a while?

Ill be going away for about 3/4 months and the lude will be sitting in the garage a while. I have a h23 t3/t4, ge sleeves, je 9:1, pauter rods, and some other stuff if it matters. Is there anything i should do to the car before i leave it? Should i drain the gas or anything engine wise?

Ive never left my car for a long period of time like this so i dont know, thanks for your input

change oil, top off fluids. leave windows cracked a hair so the inside doesnt get all stunk-o
pull off wheels place on jackstands to avoid flat spots in the tires

if more than 6 month storage, change oil, store, change oil, then drive. most oils only last about 6 months before they start a natural decomposition process (break down). dunno about synth tho.

There are a lot of good preservation techniques, but for only 4 mos I wouldn't worry about it. Fill your gas tank and make sure your tires have proper air pressure. If any of your tires goes flat while your gone it could easily be damaged, so if you have any doubts on your tires holding air then put it on stands or at least put some kind of block under a support by the tire in question.

Oh yeah, and change your oil when you get back...before is good, too, but not necessary!

drain the oil, don't leave it in the engine while you're gone. when you go to start it again, put new oil in there. also, you can get some sort of gas stabilizer, don't know if you want to put it in a built engine though, it will make the gas still good for about 6 months i think. if you leave the oil in there, it can break down the seals in the engine. and unplug your battery.

I should fill up the tank? I was thinkin of almost emptying it then when i go to start it up, put freash gas in then start it.
