what do the dials on an emanage do?
i bought my car and it already had an emanage installed on it. i wasn't the one who put it in and i certainly don't have a manual on it if there is one. doesn anyone know what the different dials on the unit adjust? i'd like to set the unit back to whatever stock is and work off that, but i don't know what stock is on it.
What kind of car is it and are there any other modifications done to it? Personally I'd take that POS out and throw it away or sell it but if you want to keep it I'll try to help you out.
my car is a turbo ls/vtec. i don't know if the dials on the emanage have had anything done to them, it was on the car when i bought it. but, i think i'll keep it for know. with the profec e-01 it isn't that bad i don't think. you can use it and the different harnesses that come with it to adjust timing, air/fuel, vtec, etc. it seems like it'll work pretty good if i can get the hange of what everything is for.

ugh, whats wrong with e-manage?

I just can't stand greddy's pre tuned stuff thats all. Personal preference. I'd rather be able to tune with smaller and recognizable increments. It took me forever to get my friend's 03 civic si running right when his greddy kit came with it. I was so pissed off that I hooked a SAFC to it until I could get a hold of greddy to find out what the hell was going on with it.
You prefer the s-afc to an e-manage???
Are you sure your not thinking about the greddy bluebox? (which is what comes with their turbo kit, not the e-manage)
s-afc doesn't even have the ability to tune the ignition map.

and with the e-01, you can do it all from right inside the car without having to use a laptop. it displays all the maps and allows you to interface with the emanage without the all the hassell. either way, can anyone help me with what all the ***** do on the emanage and what they are set at stock??

No I'm not confused both the bluebox and emanage suck in my opinion the ***** on the emanage just warp curves and vtec points. Its basically like have 4 different blueboxes each one having 10 different predetermined points that you can select for their point in the RPM range and 1 vtec selector. The e-01 is a step up but I still wouldn't mess with it. Not to mention greddy's customer service is shitty. It takes them an hour to find someone who might actually know what they are talking about. At least with a SAFC you can actually see how the car responds with each change and you can tell where in the rpm range you are changing. The shop that installed my buddy's greddy kit couldn't get the damn thing to run right and threw away the instructions. So, until I could get a hold of greddy to fax me over a copy of instructions along with a wiring diagram to make sure everything was hooked up right, I threw in a SAFC and had his car running good in 1/2 an hour. The emanage is in now and setup the way greddy says to set it up and as of right now his car is running super rich and he gets a CEL whenever he runs it hard. To this day he is too damn cheap to just buy a SAFC.
Sorry for the long post.

Um, you tune with a computer and the greddy software, not with the *****.
s-afc is a very very crude tunning tool. It doesn't have many tuning points, it has no boost sensor, and you can't adjust ignition timming.

i just want to know where the ***** are at stock. i think mine have been adjusted, but when usint the e-01, they tell you to leave the ***** where they are and do all the adjustments on the e-01. which is what i want to do if i can find out where the ***** should be? help please? cause until i can get those right, i'm a little aprehensive about ******* with settings. since i don't know what i'm changing them from.
and, when using the e-01, you can see exactly where in the rpm range and at what throttle position any and all changes are being made. there's an entire map at your disposal.
