Default What to do?

I have not go around to it yet, but this weekend I'm going to find where and what is leaking in my motor. Though I do not have oil in water or vise versa, I think I have a leaking head gasket. At the base of the head there is a little water/coolant stain. It has not become a big problem yet, but I am planing on changing it. As most of us do I plan on upgrading some also. I am thinking about using a Mugen head gasket (best price replies welcome) and was wondering if anyone still uses or makes a good block guard. I have not heard about them in some time, but maybee I was just not paying attention. If so who makes them and will someone that actually has one share some of their expierience about them. I know there is a tendancy to over heat, and it only protects the top of the cylinders, but I would like some one with real expiereince to tell me their story.

Thanks

Go to a local shop and have them do a leakdown test to see if your headgasket is blown. Also pull your dipstick and look for bubbles, if there's bubbles then you have a leaking headgasket, also hold a lighter to the oil on your dipstick, if the oil burns, then you have hydrocarbons(unburned fuel) in your oil which indicates either a bad head gasket or PCV valve, usually headgasket though.

I am capable of this, and I already stated that there is no coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant.

My question was about which headgaskets and block guards are most commonly used, and if block guards are really worth it.
