Default What is the difference in B16A1 and B16A2 cams?

Cams from the early B16A (or A1 as it is called here in Europe) and cams from the B16A2 are different, at least in appearance.

However, does anybody know if there is a difference in performance? The reason I am asking is that I have a 91' CRX VT (came with B16A1 from Honda) with the early version of the cams (obviously) and I have a set of A2 ones lying around and I wonder if the work is worthwhile to change them.

I know that the displacement , compression and bore/stroke are the same for both motors. The A1 is rated at 150hp and the A2 at 160 - are the cams the determining factor for that difference?

I believe the hp difference is in the fuel/ignition maps in the ecu.If the cams are not in the engine than I would use the A2,but if you need to remove them than I wouldn't .
