b16a cams vs b16a2 cams
I hear that the 1st gen b16 cams suck, and that the b16a2 cams are better. Why? Is this why when vtec kicks in on the b16a2 its very loud compared to the 1st gen b16?
i had some CTR cams in my b16a3 and they were screamin loud.. after i took it out. put back in my stocks. b16a3 cams. it wasnt loud anymore.I gotta get some cams.. i like it when my car screams. ppl juss look at u..
CTR cams are the singal best cams for NA performance.
The B16a2 have more lift compare to the first gen...but not that much!

Many things affect how loud VTEC is. I have the stock b16a cams and I can definitely tell when VTEC engages. There is quite a difference in the tone of the exhaust and the intake gets louder as well.
I have stock cams in both my 1st gen b16 and in my b16a2. When the b16a2 vtec kicks in its very loud, and when the vtec is suposedly on in the b16a I can't hear it at all. So I'm wondering if its the cams or something else.
i'm still running stock cams b16a first gen, i can't hear **** or feel any vtec power, maybe just a little. But when i had my Ecu chipped, then that's when i started hearing it more and feeling it. But i do still wanna upgrade to them CTR's
On my stock 1 gen,I can hear when the vtec engage(5k).
It pulls from 6k till 8k.
Someone posted that here.I don't know if it's true...but he may be right.
The new SiR cam on intake have higher lift.10.6 over 10.1mm.
The exhaust has 9.4 over 9.0mm.
Duration is the same.
