What cools best
I have a ef sedan and I'm about to buy a 85 vw scirocco radiator. Not sure if I should just get oe replacement that's alliminum with plastic end tanks. Or spend about 100 more on the all alliminum rad. Any suggestions ? Which actually cools best? Is it a significant difference
Thanks in advance

Why would you go to a Rocco rad, unless you are trying to tuck it between rails on the rad support?
Generally an all aluminum rad will not have issue with the caps separating, and a thicker core will hold more fluid, so it can hold a more stable temp. One thing to look at is how the core is constructed, as all rads are not created equal. Koyo and Fluidyne both make good quality rads.

I like all aluminum just because they aren't as likely to leak like ones with plastic ends. If they are both single cores then they are likely to be about the same cooling wise. A dual core has larger capacity so it is more efficient keeping the rad. Fluid cooler.
