What chip does Hondata use for the p28?

would there be anything wrong with keeping the AT29C256? Whats the benifit of burning a final tune onto a 27C256?

There's nothing wrong with using the AT29C256 for the final tunes... Hondata provides these so you can use these chips over by reflashing them... The 27C256 EPROMs are UV Erasable and you would have to buy a UV Eraser to reuse them...
