Default What is this called, and where can I get it?

When I got my engine in (JDM D15B VTEC), this peice was damaged from transporting it... Its the small pipe that goes from the intake mani, to the brake booster... So I asked around, and ppl said I could remove it... Which I finally figured out how to remove it from the Intake Manifold, the only prob now is, I dont know where to get another one from, or what its even called...

Thanks in advance!

Its a vacuum fitting.. I would just remove it and tap the hole and put another fitting there from a parts store..

So any parts store should know what it is, and sell them?

Just go to Honda and pick one up. Those really aren't universal so parts stores most likely wont have it. You'll need that vaccum port for your brake booster so make sure you get teh correct one. If Honda doesnt have it you can tap the hole with pipe thread and get a brass fitting for it.

I think its bigger than 1/8 to 1/4.. More like 3/8 or 6AN to barb

first off a 3/8 np is about 3/4 " in dia. AN fittings are a compression fitting also

1/8 npt and 1/4 barb is the perfect size for that thing on the manifold

I dont have the hole in front of me but I would guess that it is a little too big to thread it for 1/8npt.. If so a 1/4npt will work..

a 1/8 pipe tap OD is about 3/8" so 1/8 should be perfect.

just becasue it says 1/8 doesnt mean the od is 1/8, lol
and 1/4npt is alittle over 1/2 inch OD

i dont mean to argue but ive been working with and selling fittings for over a year now and im pretty sure i know what im talking about

Thanks for the responses guys! Ill try them out!

So this is what I need?

http://www.coleparmer.com/cata...34700

And then just use a tap tool and tap it out to 1/8"?

I tried a few different ways, but the way that worked, I took a long, sturdy, flat head screw driver and set it between the manifold and the pipe, there was little lip on the pipe (u can kinda see it in the pics), and hit the top of the screw driver with a hammer... Each time I did it, it came out more, took about 4 good wacks... If u dont need the fitting then this should be fine... Just careful not to damage the manifold too much... I damaged the fitting, but it was already broken so it didnt matter...
