*edit* that aritcle was just a reference...

"Service stations will have 90 days to sell any MTBE gasoline in their storage tanks."

</TD></TR></TABLE>

State refiners -- which have already ceased making gasoline with the MTBE additive -- may no longer sell any gasoline containing MTBE to service stations

yes, stop trying to defend yourself, you're just wrong, i said they stopped producing it, which they have, and they stopped producing gas with mbte start of 04.

god i deal with this gas **** every ******* day, I know a BIT more about it then you do. jesus

go believe your stupid cheveron website, as if they update that every day

California is fucked anyway, royal dutch shell just closed a refinery in bakersfield because it was not cost effective to upgrade it to new california spec. WHICH MEANS california is fucked because right now all refineries in california are running at 100%

That refinery going down will basicly start to cause a lack of supply, and do to demand being greater then supply, costs will go up.

No refineries can be built in california because its impossible to get around all the red tape.

No refinery has been built in the US for about 30 years.

and ejprimo, just shut up now, you know dick about oil companies

go home

Remember, it really depends on where you buy your gas than what brand you choose (sort of). Most all stations are just franchises (the only totally corporate one I know of is the smaller chain Quik Trip), and they can really add (or not add) whatever they want to the fuels they sell. That said, I recommend buying fuel from a real busy station that can afford the total additive package and that doesn't have fuel sitting in the tanks for months on end.

Chevron and Shell/Texaco are the only stations to use an additive that actually cleans your injectors (Techron/System 3). All the others are total false advertised stabilizers that do nothing to promote a clean fuel system.

Other good places for gas would be 76, Sunoco and BP/Amoco. Mobil/Exxon have one of the worst reputations for low quality fuels and very poor additives.

apparently you dont know hammered dog ****. you said that mtbe was prohitbited after December 31, 2002. and i said that gray davis merely extended that deadline to Dec. 31, 2003. and it is possible that you can still be using gasoline that still has mtbe until march.

like you said before, "Please reasearch before spreading BS." next time you use an article for reference make sure that is up to date. you are spreading misinformation by suggesting there was no mtbe in gasoline for the duration of 2003.

why? because your a ****** derelict who sells gasoline at the local am&pm? why do you have to come on here flaming other peoples responses just because you have a hard-on for gasoline. be nice, if your a gasoline expert, act like one and debate what knowledge you have on the issue.

wow maybe if u would do some research on the topic, you would realize that i was using that as a reference, not for the date. I said that they stoped producing mbte... yes i knew that they stopped producing mbte by the end of 03, i was just showing you that article for information about the law. I wasnt spreading any information, just mearly citing information.

but good for you for being mr detective, i only said that they stopped producing, I didnt know there would be some **** **** that would want me to give exact dates on when the last day officially they were allowed to produce mbte and when the last offical day it would allowed to be sold, but since it was 3am, I guess I was just being sloppy.

yes i work at am pm, thats my job, i mop floors and clean bathrooms.

stop trying to defend yourself, there was no discussion, i was simply correcting you.

get over it, when your wrong just admit your wrong... **** im wrong sometimes and i admit when im wrong.

im done arguing with you, so just make you happy

i was 100% wrong, I have a hardon for gas
I just get really pissed off when people spread crap on the internet, it was late, I was especially grumpy... and it was a soar subject as explained.

I PM'd you the first time explaining my rash behavior and asking you to just drop it.

but think whatever you want, i really dont care, beat me up behind your computer screen.

Wow, how about just dropping your info instead of acting stupid and turning this into a flaming contest. I found it very informative till stupid remarks came up.
