Default welded diff. on SOHC tranny?

someone was selling a 98 EX tranny with a welded differential, i was wondering if this would be streetable and has anyoen done it?

Welded Diff is a cheap way to get the benefits of a LSD. Using it for street purposes is not a wise idea in my opinion. Your turning ability will be dramatically different and difficult.

My cousin has done it and does not recommend it for street use.
