Weird Tranny Problem?
A while ago I had a transmission problem: The car won't shift into any gears when the car is started (it's simply stuck in neutral, not grinding) and if I start the car in first gear, it would do a few hops foward while it cranks (even with the clutch down), and once I get the car going in first gear, I won't be able to shift out of any gears.
Well to make the long story short, I replaced the tranny (left the clutch and pressure plate), and I tried starting the car while it was on jack stands. This time, I can shift into gears without even pressing down on the clutch! But when in gear, I can see the wheels spin. Can't shift into reverse at all, and if I step on the brakes, I can't shift into any gears again.
So guys, is it my clutch, is it my pressure plate, or is it still the tranny?
