Default Which way does oil flow on b16

Bought a b16 head off a guy that had lsv
Set up yes the head was plugged

also I'm running a gsr block an yes I took the plug out but...

Just curious does the oil go up to the head ( is that how it hits vtec ? ) or does it drain into the bottom of the block threw that hole ?

The oil goes up into the head, and then goes to the vtec spoolvalve where it waits for the computor to re-direct it to the rockershafts where it can push the outter rocker pin into the middle rocker arm and that's how it engages the vtec center lobe.

The small hole that you plug when putting a VTEC head on a non VTEC block is the oil pressure side that feeds the spool valve (VTEC solenoid)

The large holes are the oil drain backs.
