Default Water temp gauge install

Is it alright to install the water temp sender wire by splicing into the ECT. Or do i have to drill a hole in the thermostat housing. Which is more accurate?

Just remove your stock temp sender from the head and use the sender that should have come with gauge.

How do you know the ECT or stock sender will work with your aftermarket gauge??

All I did was run the two wires from gauge to sender located on head.

Easy as pie! mmmm pie

Anyways, good luck.

Yes using the temp sender supplied with the aftermarket gauge and running the ground and sensor wires from sender to gauge worked perfectly. I get 100 percent accurate readings.

All I did was follow the Autometer gauge install diagram.
