Default water pump snapped

hey all:
the other day car suddenly died when i was driving on the road, poped the hood , saw the water pump pulley poped out of the plastic timing belt cover , alternator belt , AC belt snapped , AC tensioner dropped too, today we opened the valve cover and luckly the timing belt is on the cam gears, only the edge got damaged , my friend who is a mechanic turned the crank and checked , he said the timing was alright.
So my question is (1) why snapped water pump pulley caused the AC belt and Alternator belt snapped . (2) do you guys think i should take the head off to check further, cheers

now i'm just trying to figure out what cause those two belt snapped and ac tensioner comes off, those belts all connected to crank pulley. Just assumption, when the car was running , water pump pulley pops in between timning cover, then made the belt hard to rotate, so it rotated like clockwise then anticlockwise, backand force for a while which made those belts snaped , is it possible? if it could happend, will thatg cause any damage to the crank, i'm still learning , can someone please giveme some idea, cheers
