sry for the noob question but my water pump went out and i paid 550 to have it fixed.....good price or ripped off?

 

I say ripped off. only about 100 dollars in parts for a new oem water pump and timing belt. Then again, having a shop do anything can get awfully pricey and if they aren't familiar with Honda's, it may have taken them a while. Why didn't you do it yourself? not a very difficult job...

 

well i am not car savy u know....plus dont own a jack or or anyother tools. guess its time for me to get my hand dirty

 

for 500 dollars, you could have had got a friend/relative to help, bought tools, a jack and finished the job. Everybody starts some where though. Get yourself some basic wrenches, jack, and etc so you can start learning

 

well $120 and 3 hours later i replaced it plus the timing belt....wooot!
