warming up
got a simple question concerning warming up the car...i own a dc2r...
whenever i start up my car and am in a hurry to leave...i actually put my foot on the accelerator and keep it idling at 2000rpm... will this damage my engine?? i was told tat im shouldnt touch the accelerator at all when warming up the car...
the thing im confused about is...why cant i keep the engine idling at 2000rpm with my foot on the accelerator...wat difference is there between me using the accelerator, keeping it idling at 2000rpm....and the engine idling at 2000rpm and slowly dropping down to 1000rpm...
also...when do u consider a car warmed up?? i wait till it actually touches the first line of the temp before moving...but sometimes when im really in a hurry i leave straight away but not revving the engine more then 2000rpm...
ur input will be appreciated...thx guys

you should let your car warm up on it's own so that the oil flows where need be and i don't know exactly why you aren't suppose to touch accelerator other than you giving the car more airflow / fuel
