I have a 00' GSR, ever since I installed my V-AFC every now and then I get a CEL. Mostly on highway pulls when I downshift to fourth then the light comes on and when the engine gets to 5000rpm's in stutters and I can't go any farther then 5000 after that. So I guess my question is do I need to hook up the VTM wire? Cause in the V-AFC manual it says I don't but in this little paper I got with the V-AFC it says I do, also on the trouble shooting on the Apexi website it says it needs to be hooked up also.
Thanks
Thanks
i had that same problem, it sporatically did do the 5k "redline" thing. it ended up fixing itself in my 99 civic. never did figure out the problem and i never had the VTM wire hooked up.
is the vtm wire the one going to the vtec oil pressure? I also installed a apexi controller and having sort of the same problem. My vtec will engage but i fell no pull and the car seems to stumble. Also on your vtec controller, when you go to monitor and press the vt1 (i think) its the ecu vtec output does it switch between on and off when you're stepping on the gas?
