Default Vtec, VAFC, and oil pressure ????

Ok, so your ECU monitors oil pressure and engages vtec, then will cut it out if the pressure gets too low from low oil levels, right? My question is, does a VAFC over ride the ECU and engage vtec even if the oil level is too low? I am wondering because I checked my oil and it seemed really low, but vtec is still fully functioning, and the VAFC says it is engaging. Maybe I was on a slight grade and the oil was laying back in the pan, but seemed too low even for that.

Yes, even if the ECU doesn't sense enough oil pressure, the VAFC will still engage VTEC. The wiring on the instructions bypass the oil pressure switch and it runs straight from the VAFC itself.

That's what I was thinking, but the VTM wire is for the oil pressure, and I was throwing a CEL when I would hit 100mph at 5500 and vtec would not engage again till I shut off the car, even when I slowed down and ran through all the gears again, it was still off, when I hooked up the VTM wire it fixed it.
