Default vtec question

I have a 89si motor crx I did the mini-me swap thats the 92-95 delsol or civic head some people say you have to move the oil control jet from the block because otherwise there will be to much presere in the vtec head and it will not ingauge. The guy who did the swap for me did not do that but he did wire the vtec up through a shift light and there is power to the vtec seliniod. But i cant tell if its working. Thanks Rocky

dyno? You dont understand my question then. I want to know if I have to remove the oil control jet on my block for vtech to engage. In that case I need to remove my head so my question is, Is it absolutely nessary to remove the oil control jet when doing a mini-me swap? If anyone has a real answer please respond.

yes you have to remove the oil control jet.

The VTEC head will have the jet already in it.

A little wood screw + vise grips works the fastest.

no other choices if oil control jet was NOT removed.

Pop the head back off!
