Okay so I got a d16y8 engine with a d16z6 head on it that im going to rebuild.. So I figured I'd get a D16Y8 vtec head to put on it as seeing that I already got the block for it.. So what exactly do I need to do this? Also I dont have the vtec wire harness So dont I just run a wire from the solenoid to the P2P Ecu?

I no I need these parts so far:

D16Y8 Vtec Head
P2P Ecu
Vtec solenoid
But what else?
am I going to need to get the intake manifold, the fuel injectors, and distributor or can I use the stock ones I have now?

Any help will be much appreciated!

 

u also need a vtec ecu...it wont engage on an ecu that was from a non-vtec regardless of what power source it is running to
