ok i have a poor mans type r swap in my integra (b16 head gsr block) i start up the car let it warm up a little then vtec engages like 2 or 3 times then stops. and wont work again for a while until i turn it off and let it sit for a while. changed the oil, the solenoid,no check engine lights, the oil pressure light doesnt come on any ideas would help me a lot

no its not that either we changed the solenoid and cleaned it

 

missing oil seal under the middle cam cap

 

ill have to check that out

 

Maybe there is a leak somewhere that cause pressure lost and not enough to engaged the vtec??
