Default vtec problem

i am having a problem going into vtec. i have a 96 gsr with a chipped p61 ecu. when i get to the rpm to hit vtec the car jerks like in and out of vtec. i've tried: swapped ecu with known good ecu, swapping vtec solenoids, swapping dizzy, checked engine oil, still having the same problem. anyone with answers hit me up

check your tps sensor it kinda sounds stupid but my friends went bad on his b16 and it would jerk and sometimes kill the car but he had to stay out of vtec zone cause thats the part that went bad on the sensor alot of them if not all are pop rivited in so your gon have to drill them out lucky for you honda did not offer too many diff sensors you can find a junker if it turns out the be the problem make sure you check it proper or take it to
a shop and have it tested
