OK here's what's going on. I lost oil presure and the cam journals got scard up. It wasn't that bad, so I cleaned up the bad area's, polished and the whole nine. Everything looks good right. I put it all together, and the vtec turns on and pulls hard then it's like the vtec stops working, and the motor quiets down. The only thing that I can think of is that when I polished the cam journals I opened it up to big and I'm lossing oil presure. Making it so that the rocker pistons are unlocking.

If this has happened to you what did you do to fix the problem?
Please don't say I need a new head.
